Anyone know what odds Chris Johnson is for the Brownlow?

I reckon he is one player who really stands out and his form this year has been sensational.

Regularly beats 2, 3 or more opponents running the ball out of the defence and rarely if ever, gets caught with the ball. Takes the odd screamer of a mark and is reliable kicking the ball in.

Also has the occasional flashy run through the centre and into the forward line.

He also seems to have cleaned his act up with the Umpies and doesn't give away many frees these days.

I have a feeling he may be polling well with the Maggots and I wouldn't mind having a quiet wager on him if the odds are half decent.

Johno has been able to pick up quite a few 3 vote games in the past, so he might be a reasonable show, if he has an outstanding year.

He doesn't seem to pick up as many 2, or 1 voters, however, so just being consistently 'good' might not be enough.

Back pockets don't win Brownlows, unless they're Brad Hardie. Actually, come to think of it, the way Chris plays is not all that dissimilar to how the rotund redhead used to go about it. Hmmm.

Walls loves him, and wraps him up every time he is in the commentary box, with reason.

I do remember Chris polling well in 2002.......

If he can keep himself in check and not let his quick temper rise up, why not?

CJ is a very impressive back-man and the thing is he makes play, he backs himself and if he is close, doesn't mind taking a shot at goal.

The only thing that might stop him from getting it this year, would be Michael Voss, and of which, I have just placed a bet on him today.

The umpires have started to pick up on some of the little things that Johno does, that could be classified as "un-necessary agro" (ie: holding his opponent down after play has stopped, etc.).
