Wouldn't be surprised if Glass is brought in to give us another tall in defence when Jako goes forward.

I'd be surprised if Glass came into the side.

I just think we need an extra tall in our defence if Jako is put at CHF. Carrol isn't up to it, but Glass could be.

I'm very very surprised that Wilson isn't in.

Funny, but I remember a couple of years ago many people were asking for Wooden to be delisted.

I remember once Mick Malthouse saying about another player "hel will never be a champion, but he can be a very important player for us." I believe this applies totally to Josh Wooden. What I like about him is that although he may be short on talent he is fast and works very hard.

Anyway, I'm glad Wosha kept him in the list. And I'd like to join you MrEagle.

I also want WOODEN!!

good to see Munro gets another chance - i reckon he's got the goods to be a pretty handy small forward.

Interesting to see Wirrpunda was named in the middle but i'd say he will play down back considering how well he has been going down there this year.

Knew straight away Braun was in when I saw this thread was started by MDB :p

Good to see Wirra in, the potential rebound from defence looks VERY dangerous (imagine Morrison, Wirra and Hunter all playing in defence... ). Glass is probably emergency incase Carroll doesn't pull up from last weeks injury, funnily enough I'm hoping Carroll does play despite the fact i really rate Glass.

Glad to see my adopted player for the year come straight back into the side. GO BRAUNY!!!

Pity that Kerr didnt come up and I still dont know why Collica or Wooden cant get a game. The positions are all wrong though? Haynes at CHF? Cox at FF? Wirrpunda in the middle? Jones on a half back flank? Hunter not in the starting 18?

Strange to say the least, obviously they all wont eventuate come saturday.

Good to see Braun back in :) I reckon he's in for a top game soon

Strange how both Wilson and Lynch were left out of the side

the starting lineup counts for squat these days. they might as well name the whole team on the bench.

Well despite what Suma said during the week, this does not bode well for Wilson. He might get a game against Carlton, on Mick Martyn but that would be about it.

Wilson is definately on the outer. After kicking 7 for East Perth last weekend, I thought he would slot back into the side. There has to be a lot of other reasons why he is not selected for this weekend. Haynes is doing ok, but I thought Wilson would be the better focal point.

Makes me wonder the reasons why he is being overlooked.

Look at the quality of the opposition last weekend. It would be like the Eagles playing the Widgiemooltha B Grade.

Even better.

Wilson could kick a lazy ten and allow us to beat the opposition into submission.

Only problem with that is he wouldn't get picked in the team.:D

There has to be other reasons apart from form on why Willow is not picked.

The last game that he played for the Eagles was woeful. When he was pushed under the ball there was no effort shown by Wilson to get back into the play. He didn't jump at the ball. I think he needs to show hunger for the ball rather than just good form if he wants his place back in the side.

At the moment we have the best offence in the league, which suggests our forward structure is functioning really well. Bringing Wilson may disrupt it (regardless of how he plays, he will influence the whole forward structure).

To be fair, if you look back at that game, the delivery of the ball was slightly woeful and did not give him much of a chance to take a grab.

I dont see how FF's can be expected to dominate games when the delivery is quite poor. Wilsons game against Hawthorn showed that nearly every time he lead, the pass went over his head.... surely thats not his fault?

Good to see someone share the same sentiment with me. I think TW could be more than useful right now, especially when the midfielders are kicking the ball well.

Our forward structure is not functioning all that well IMO. We have got excellent production from up the ground, which is giving us good results, but if the midfield isn't on top we need someone who can take a pack mark or at least crash some packs to keep us in the game. It hasn't hurt us yet, but it will.
