Sorry for getting it up pretty much hours before Round 7 but people giving late votes holds me up. Anyways here is the Leaderboard for the year so far, completely up to date.

How it works....Position, Votes, Player, Last Week, This Week.

22. 1 - Trent Carroll ~~ 18-22
22. 1 - Adam Hunter ~~ 18-22

So Gardiner continues to crush all before him! Fletcher still chases admirably but it seems to me that Gardiner cant be stopped. Judd stays in third but hardly got a vote so he lost some ground. Couple of big movers in Matera and Chick, Fido moves from 6th up into 4th and if he continues to kick goals, he will continue to rise up the leaderboard. Chick in just two weeks has moved into the top 6 with 234 of his 235 votes coming from rounds 5 and 6.

Kerr misses a game through injury and will miss another this weekend against Geelong, definitely hurting his chances of taking home the award this season, or at least repeating his 2nd place of last year. The defending champ misses out on votes thanks to a corked thigh, needs a big showing against Geelong to get himself back into the picture, but right now he looks like he wont go back to back.

Three new entries this week with Phillip Read making a move and opening his account with 88 votes against the Dees. McIntosh also makes his debut with 48 votes after stitching up Neitz last weekend. Morrison also breaks onto the leaderboard with 16 votes.

To the weekend ahead and watch for Banfield to try to pick up some votes in his 200th. Wirrpunda is back from injury and will try to get his season back on track as Gardiner and Fletcher will look to stretch the lead even further. Gardiner may have finally found some competition in King so it may be an opportunity for other players to make a dent in his hefty lead. Cousins must break Ling and get back into the picture.

Looks like Gardy may be the one to take it out, but I think Fletch, Chick, Judd and Sampi could be the dark horses.

Cuz seems to be well below his form last year and may not have a look in come seasons end.

I dont think it's any secret that Cousins has been carrying an injury all year, he just isnt right. He was limping again today late in the game and spent a lot of the 4th in a forward pocket. If he can get over his injury I wouldnt put it past him to come back and Gardiner looks irrestible at the moment. Although Gardy wasnt that great today, Fletch should close the margin.
