I know it's been done before (i think) but it's all i could think of at this kind of time. So..... who is it??
I kind of jinx whoever I choose.
In 1999 it was Leon Cameron. TRADED
In 2000 it was Mark West. DELISTED
In 2001 it will be ...... Steve Kretiuk..... a "classy, hard as nails, maniac" - what more could u want??? http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
But, i might as well wish Kritters all the best for life after footy http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/frown.gif lol - just kidding. http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/smile.gif

As a Bomber, you can understand my pain in choosing a fav.
But I'd have to say "Silky Skills Mercuri" would be mine. Has the poise and balance of a cat and skills that speak for themselves. Just a pleasure to watch.
Dean Solomon wouldn't be far behind him.

It's been posted on the main boards a few times, so why not again? My favourite non-North player is....Libba. I love watching that guy play....we need more players like him. Too many players have, well....polished media personalities....but with Libba, what you see is what you get. A hard as nuts player who plays the game with heart and passion, and off field, a total gentleman (from reports that I've heard). I hope he goes on for years to come and that he (and the Doggies) finally get a premiership medal.

Well said Shinners I am glad I am not the only non doggies supporter who admires Libba.
Anyone who saw the year of the dogs doco had to admire the heart of the little bugger.
The non Hawthorn player I like most would have to be Brett Ratten even thogh he plays for a team I hate
Go Libba

Westy Boy,
Have you been to the AFL website today?
If you haven't, you might not have read the following article:-
http://www.afl.com.au/news/story_202811.htm
Yes, you are jinxed, big time!
Please don't choose Robert Harvey as your next favourite player, we need him fit and firing next year.

Give me Libber anytime-when the game needs to be won/saved who is on the bottom of every pack? The little big man. When my son was born my wife said that she wouldn't mind if his middle name was 'Libba' but stupidly when the time came i took the sensible route and decided not to do it-wish I had done it now. In the future I can see my favourite player being Nathan Eagleton.

HahnPremium8 - You surprise me - I thought you were devoted to Mitch Hahn ?
For mine Westy - but the pulse races when Smithy sprints through the square.

Agree with u on the Smith comment lol http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
Oh and about Mitch Hahn. Well he hasn't played that many games yet. Though i was impressed by the way he played last season especially in the Essendon and Carlton games. I hope he has a great year and if he does he'll definitly be in my list of favourite players!
ps Mitch Hahn is HOT

Forgot to mention Bubba. He has as pure a Western Bulldogs/Footscray pedigree as anyone, and was born to play for the footy club. He comes from a long line of doggies supporters, grew up in Yarraville and was recruited from Kingsville. Kingsville(now called Yarraville)play from a base that is only just down the road from the Whitten Oval. He has always barracked for the footy club. Incidentally he grew up in the same street as Ijlia Grigic.

Scott West is an all-round awesome player. Could have won the brownlow if it wasn't for such a great player like Woewodin.

hey westyboy could you please please choose hudson as your next victim...sorry i mean favourite player....
nothing would give me more satisfaction than seeing him go down and get injured.....
i am speaking on behalf of all hawthorn supporters out there....... you will make many hawkers and their pets happy if you do.
please can you do it........
he is probably the only player in the whole league who i would cheer off with an injury. so i'm never like that but with hudson i make an exception....

All hail Leon Cameron.
Fancy letting a player like that go. How do the WB's live with themselves?? Especially when he absolutely carved you up like a lamb roast last season when Richmond thumped the bejesus out of you. What a highlight....

What exactly do Hawthorn supports have against Huddo? You are only making yourselves look bad when you boo him! http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/mad.gif
TheGlove - I went to that game against Richmond (and no one booed leon btw). It was the worst game the bulldogs played all year of the H&A games. I am actually happy for him. He clearly needed a change as he wasn't playing too well the year we traded him. He wouldn't have had that good a season if he was still with the Dogs.
Oh and i bet it wasn't such a highlight when Richmond missed the finals AGAIN!!! http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/tongue.gif

Well it certainly wasn't a low light HAHN. After it happening so many times you sort of get an immunity to it, I just go into denial.

Us hawthorn supporters have long memories....
lets see for a start he was a traitor to the club and in my book should never be made welcome to the club again... does the whole preseason at the club then just before the season is due to start, he ups and leaves hawthorn and enters the pre season draft...this way hawthorn would get nothing for losing his services... if he had done it the correct way and left at the end of the previous season, i would have wished him all the best.... but his leaving was purely out of spite.
Plus that was very bad time at the club as it was just after the merger debate.... so as you can see he was a deserter as well...
and you know what they do to deserters in the army dont you.......
there are many other reasons which i wont go into or i could be here forever... but they are the major ones.

I know just how Westyboy feels. For years now the Dogs have been delisting my favorite players.
No sooner did mum sew Bruce Reids famous number 5 on my jumper and they delisted him. A few years later Mark Cullen coped the same.
When Benny Sexton went to Carlton it was the last straw I have refused to have a favorite player since.
