Secondly, as Jonesy said, it's a retort of sorts; it's a tongue-in-cheek response due to the rivalry between the two clubs. Much like Carlton's campaign poster featuring Essendon & Collingwood; the difference being ours is a headline in a one-off article, whereas your club chose to centre your year's entire theme around us.
For the record, our slogan for the year reads "This is Essendon."
