Sunday 7th March 2010 VS Northern Bullants at Visy Park

There will now be one match instead of separate matches for the Seniors and Development Squads. It will be a six quarter match starting at 10:30am. The match will provide supporters with their first opportunity to see some of our talented recruits as well as some of our 2009 Development Squad premiership players.

Two quality new signings since my post titled "12 teenagers sign up for 2010" are:

Luke Andrews [22/01/91, 176 cms, 65 kgs] Oakleigh Chargers (2009 B & F) / St Kevins
Zac Ledin [02/05/90, 181 cms, 75 kgs] Geelong Falcons (2009 Victorian Screening) /North Warrnambool

They certainly can be called quarters because in Aussie Rules each period of play has always been referred to as a quarter and I'm sure everyone would understand my use of the word quarter. Besides I think the word quarter is far more pleasant and less traumatic than the word period >-)

This bloke is a good pick-up. Rated by Wisbey and many other judges unlucky not to have been drafted at least as a Rookie. BH have certainly sifted through the TAC Cup talent.

ah, but would six sixths be any longer than four quarters?

simon, since it took you five days to ask the question and I know you are a Tasmaniac I presume you are seeking an answer because your left head and right head are at "loggerheads". The answer is six sixths is 50% longer than four quarters and in that time BHH kicked 12.7.79. NK could argue six sixths equals four quarters since they failed to score in the last two sixths. http://mail.yimg.com/a/i/mesg/tsmileys2/18.gif

...but just in case you were serious HH.

"li'l Johnny....I have two pies....one I cut into six pieces, the other four.

From which pie will you choose a slice, the one cut into sixths, or the one cut into quarters?

....

(no, NOT the warm apple pie johnny. Go directly to the principal's office. Do not pass the canteen, do not collect 20c lollies).

Simon, I love footy pies therefore since I knew the slices of the pie cut into sixths were the same size as the slices of pie cut into quarters I would definitely choose a slice from the one cut into sixths. On Sunday I pigged out because I was served up six quarters, therefore I enjoyed consuming 6 x 25 gramminutes of cake which is 50% more than 4 x 25 gramminutes of cakes. Life is great! http://mail.yimg.com/a/i/mesg/tsmileys2/18.gif

Because of short break between quarters - you were not at the ground for 50% more of the time;)
