I haven't seen the movie but it does have a damn good soundtrack, may go just to hear that in top-notch surround sound.

Sucked hard. Much of the film was 2D, as you are warned on screen at the beginning.

Sequel should have been released 25 years ago, leaving Tron in the 80s.

I didnt mind it, but for me there wasnt enough action and too much father/son shit talk.

Have only heard the soundtrack.

Listening to it has basically guaranteed $14.50 to my nearest cinema.

Execting big things, hoping to slot it into my top five movies of the year.

Went to the non 3d screening, just was not interested in the 3d version really, and sounds like it was a good decision. The movie itself was pretty good. Maybe overdid the father/son stuff, but I guess was trying to build a 'care factor' with the characters.

I don't know about you guys, but while I thought it was serviceable, it is quite the letdown.

I won free tickets to watch it at IMAX before the majority of the country, and was drawn to watching it due to Jeff Bridges and the Soundtrack.

Although it is an interesting concept, it fails to deliver story wise, which is probably quite an understatement because the story is practically inexistent.

However, the graphics are great, and the soundtrack is awesome. I can see myself watching it again, but only as part of a drinking game; drinking every time Jeff Bridges says man, although i'd probably be better off doing that while watching The Big Lebowski.

Please don't go into it expecting the world, or even the 'Top 5 films this year', because you'll probably be dissappointed.

I'd go with the consensus of too much on the father/son angle, but still enjoyable. I'm showing my age, as I remember seeing the original as a kid. Much better graphics in Legacy, but it's not in the same class as the first (as long as you don't think about how stupid the premise of either is).

I loved the movie. The special effects are awesome and the soundtrack is excellent.

My only gripe is I wanted more action, there was probably too much story telling which took away from getting more action in! I can't wait to get this on blu-ray.

Will be buying the soundtrack tomorrow.

Went and saw in yesterday in 3D... like others said a number of scenes in 2D, but even then IMO most of the 3D scenes weren't really jumping out at you anyway. Might as well leave it in 2D.

Would have liked to seen some more action sequences... as well as some more "bad-arse-ness" from Flynn Snr... afterall he is "The Creator"... or even Flynn Jnr as "Son-of...".

Soundtrack was definitely cool as was the Daft-Punk cameo.

Was a bit of a letdown. Effects were off the charts and the music was sick but most of the time it was a bit of a head **** with the glasses on and the blurryness of it all. Dragged on like no tommorrow and near the end I just wanted it to finish.

Tried to be a bit funny at times I thought? Got a bit cheesy with Daft Punk Dj'ing in the club and then the host trying to get all Willy Wonka on us.

Oh and Jeff Bridges must be ****ed over from "The Big Lebowski" because I couldn't sto laughing whenever he said man or dude or pass the pencil......*****. Got a bit too much in the end.

Saw it last night, and loved every minute of it. Visual effects and music were the stars (both should get Oscars), no doubt, but I also enjoyed the story a lot too (although there are gaps in some areas). It's almost a remake of the original, just on a much more epic scale and developing ideas that would've had heads exploding back in 1982.

Jeff Bridges was brilliant, playing a cross between Obi-Wan Kenobi and The Dude, and as Clu (although the face replacement was a little dodge at times) is extremely charismatic too. Hedlund (as Sam) did his part well, not missing a beat and supporting Bridges well (once he's on the Grid, Bridges is the real star of the film). And as for Olivia Wilde, wow. Don't be surprised if this movie does for her what Transformers did for Megan Fox (before she !@#$%& it all up).

So overall I'd say Tron: Legacy was a big success. Definitely ending what's been a pretty disappointing movie year on a high.

I share the above sentiments :thumbsu:

Visually stunning and that score; wow!

Will easily occupy a top five slot in my 'movies of 2010' list.

Must admit though, after having the soundtrack looping in itunes for the last couple of weeks, I was always going to love it :)

My only qualm; needed more 'Tron'.

Beau Garrett's futuristic hotness also pushed some buttons:

The light cycle sequence, soundtrack and Olivia Wilde aside this movie is balls, and though those things are good they are not good enough to overcome the deficiencies in the plotting.

Michael Sheen is really creepy too

I've been playing the Xbox game lately and it's really making me want to go see the movie again for a second time. I'm tempted to go and check it out again, really loved the action scenes.

It's a long time since I've walked out on a movie, but this did it. Got to be the most garbled incoherent mess I've watched since Transformers 2.

Wow.

I've never walked out on a movie, but the awesomeness of the CGI & score really couldn't keep you there?

Better than Avatar in all facets IMO.

Maybe it was because I loved TRON, but I was cringing the whole time. Some of the dialogue... blech. Unwatchable.

Never saw Avatar.

Hate to be another one to critisize it, but think I made the mistake of expecting too much from it. The 2D/3D warning at the start didn't help.

With the original being pretty simple with the plot, and Legacy almost the same story. Not sure why they put in that story of 'isomorphic algorithms' and didn't go in to much detail about what it was all about, just quickly glossed over in one scene.

That being said, CGI Bridges, the action scences, Olivia Wilde and the soundtrack that were all amazing, was just enough to salvage the film being watchable.

Apparently this is the first in a new trilogy, hopefully the next few are much better, because as sequel - it was predictable and a massive disappointment.

Agree, some of the dialogue was pretty sub-par; particularly Bridges' hippy lines.

Never saw Avatar.

You're not at a loss. Kudos to you sir :thumbsu:

LMAO, Surely your not serious?

The story wasn't the strong point, but beautiful special effects make up for the lack of story.

Just wish the " Tailgunner " scene went longer.
