Watching the Tiwi GF the other day, and they had an interview with Kevin Sheedy at half time.
During this interview it was brought to my attention that the Tiwi Islands is now or going to be a Western Sydney zone for draft selections.
Essendon have a partnership with the Tiwi Bombers, and are also supposed to be setting up a "Tiwi College Baby Bombers Clontarf Football Academy".
I think its fantastic that the club promotes such initiatives, however, it seems quite unfair to me that all the money and support given to the Tiwi Islands Community Partnership will, in effect, develop better talent for a rival team to plunder exclusively.
Can anyone tell me how long this zoning concession is going to be in place?
