i think that the fact that Australian dropped an easy catch later in the innings, evens it out, but i don't think Jacobs was out but how could u tell without replays. Comeon it's Brett Lee

when you get to international standard umpiring you should be able to pick that up.

As soon as I saw the replay in full speed (I didn't see it live) I thought "**** how could he give that out"

Admittedly it makes it easier for me cause I had already known that it was a shocker.

It looked a shocker.

I've seen the replays quite a few times. But is there a replay that shows the top half of his bat? I don't think the ball got anywhere near it after hitting his arm, but his bat is above his head and you can't see the ball or bat above his head in any replay I've seen. The vision is just too close and chops off just above his head.

Lara being given not out in the 1st innings when he was about 19 makes it even.

After watching Brett Lee's appeal - he was PAST the stumps at the strikers end, running flat chat with his back to the umpire - let us never again be critical of the way other teams put passion into their appeals.

There was little doubt that Shepherd was suckered - it wasn't even close to the glove.

(Oooops ... just saw this incident referred to in far greater detail on another thread)
