Righto, so I booked a weekend up in Sydney to see the Cats whip the Swans (I booked in Feb) so now it's turning into more of a 'go, just cause I have the bloody tickets' type of thing.

Apart from the extremely expensive prices for your home ground, I have a few questions:
1) Is there an AFL members, and can I get guest passes? Is it ever full?
2) What other exorbitant priced seats are undercover? I hear there was 91mm in 3 hours yesterday... and that it's going to continue?
3) Is Mase on the market? Grrrrrrrrrrr

Thanks. See you all there. I'll be the one wearing a red & white top and asking how come Billy Brownless isn't playing, just so I fit in to the crowd.

Well...

1) There's no AFL members' section. There is the SCG Members' section and you can get guest passes, but I think you need an SCG member to get you one. There is also the Swans members reserve, same exact deal (they have access to ladies, noble stands). I'm not an SCG member, or a Swans member with access to the members' reserve unfortunately.

2) Other than members', cheapest undercover seats would be GA, then sitting under the doug walters stand ;) The view's not the best, and you can't see the scoreboard from there with any sort of clarity (they haven't yet invented a screen that shows through concrete). Churchill/Bradman stands probably next cheapest, with O'Reilly and Brewongle stands at over $50 per ticket. The weather might be ok (it was fine throughout the Syd v Bris game last sunday) or it might bucket down, who knows?

3) Apparently the price of mase fluctuates quite wildly - you may not be able to afford his services ;)

No, and Capper went to the Bears, and Williams is now at Carlton.

it's a joke isn't it?? this was the first game so far this year i had an opportunity to go to, and i wanted decent seats (not under the walters stand where half the ground is obstructed) and undercover just in case it rained. i ended up paying $58 for a seat in the Brewongle stand. that is outrageous. they should lower the prices and get much bigger crowds IMO. what's a standard ticket worth to your average melbourne game??

mind you it was a great view..... but $58 worth??

you can also get $53 tickets undercover in the o'reilly stand (that's if you don't mind being blinded by the low afternoon sun)

Capper actually came back from the Bears for 1 season before being delisted. :D
