What will be the outcome of this Salary Cap issue at the moment?

With the AFL talking about stripping points for breaches, will the Bombers be the first to cop that?

If we are guilty, then pending on the severity of the breaches I doubt all points would be taken. It's not in the same 'paper bag' league as carltons.

They will attempt to strip all of our premiership points, you watch.

Look for the club to take them to court, resulting in messy litigation that probably lasts through the duration of the season.

Meanwhile, Essendon finishes 8th, loses to an interstate club in the first week of the finals, and the whole thing is irrelevant anyway.

The AFL will NOT be taking any points from Essendon IF they find we have done something wrong.

The points deduction is only if a team cheats the cap during the current season. Our so called "possible" breaches occured in a previous season. Demetriou even said this in the reports when asked about the Dons by the media.

A fine is what we would expect as it is a minor breach if found true (which I very much doubt as they know the Dons will take it to court).

Nothing will happen to the Dons for these internet crap. If we do id be more than happy for Essendon to take them to court to fight it. But the main point is,would the AFL be investigating us if they had purchased the rights for Hird and Lloyd? Is this modern day Iraq or sour grapes? If the AFL cant own something, it doesnt meant no one else should. Get your priorities right AFL, youve got 3 blind mice running around each week clearly showing thier hatred towrds the dons, have a look at that before you waste everyone's time with BULLS$IT!

Um, no Stealth.

The amounts are spits in the ocean. 20K and 50K. These aren't big enough amounts to jstify stripping points, especially when Essendon was open about the situation in the first place. It's not like they went behind someone's back, and payed huge sums of money that no one knew about.

If we miss the finals it will be funny if we do get stripped points then end up with a top draft pick!

I would imagine that the draft order would be decided based on our position had we not been stripped of points. That of course is assuming that we werent also stripped of draft picks!!!

If you ask me,
The AFL is a bunch of money sucking slimebags.
All they have on thier mind is $$$$.
They charge heaps for footy items and tickets, that give you the worst seat in the house, and they fine teams a large amount of cash...eg the Bulldogs and St.Kilda wrestling inncident which was pretty weak...Bulldogs arnt a rich side, but they dont care, "GIVE US MONEY"!

Their website is f*cken $hithouse now (but that's not the point),
they charge you to listen to stuff that can be heard on radio or seen on tele....

What ever to the family game...the sport,
now it's just the $$$$FL
