Saw a preview screening for this the other day, and thought it was great.

I generally hate Australian cinema but thouroughly enjoyed this, perhaps just because I love a good World War story.

Anyone else seen it?

Saw it last night.

Pretty underwhelming.

Film doesn't soar as anywhere near as high as the annoying score...

I saw it tonight and it was much better than expected. Really gives a good insight IMO and I was starting to feel a bit claustrophobic myself in some scenes. A negative would be the changing between the romance and the war, but it really wasn't too bad. I also thought Harrison Gilbertson was very good as Tiffin.

I'm usually not the biggest fan of war movies but I'll see it because of Brendan Cowell. Also directed by Jeremy Sims, who did Last Train To Freo, one of my favourite movies.

How big a role does Steve Le Marquand have in it?

i see Jeremy Sims is one of those wankers who puts in his middle name when he becomes a director.

Yeah, a tad unneccesary I'd think.

Also tried to get out of a drink-driving charge by talking about his film career is what's being reported in the paper, but you know, like you wouldn't.
