Nothing to do with form. I am thinking tactical nous, player development and motivational abilities. Interested to hear what every group of fans has to say about their future under their current coach.
When is the use by date? It will be interesting to see if voting is based purely on form this season or whether there are dissenters in every clubs ranks who can see something most of us can't.

I think as he admits he is still new to the game and is continually learning but have been happy with his improvement each year.
As for expiry date...........a GF within the next 2 years will be the test to see whether he continues..........anything less unless devastated by inuries will see him join the list of ex-coaches.
I'd keep him, has improved every year as a coach. We've "tick" a lot of things of the "to do" list in recent years, obviously one or two big ones to go.
Chocco will keep going until he does what he wants to achieve, whether that be one, two, three or more premierships or just knowing that he has exhausted everything he has to offer as a coach. As long as the player group continues to improve as it should with all the youngsters continuing, which has been done by design, to come through he should be around for a long time. He doesn't have any real successors (something which he probably has done by design) at the club and really i wouldn't see anyone else around the league who'd interest us more (or who would come) and thus he has set himself up for the long haul.
The strength of Port Adelaide, as it has been in any club, has been the enduring quality of the coach. Williams is doing a top job at the moment, we haven't lost more than 2 consecutive home and away games under him since 2000, so why would we be thinking of replacing him? Sure, we don't have a GF win yet, which has to be the ultimate aim, but this is only our seventh year. He has got us to a position where we should be a permanent fixture in the 8, a lot more than can be said for some Victorian clubs. But Williams always seems to be the one who cops the flak.

We could always ask him to become president when he decides to retire. :D
