With the return of key players like Sarwan, Chanderpaul, Bravo and Taylor, can the West Indies put in a strong showing in this years 20/20 World Cup.

If they can't beat Zimbabwe with only Taylor missing from that lineup how can they expect to win a WC?

Gayle, Sarwan, Bravo and Taylor did not play in that 20/20 match.

if they're in the WC they're a chance. they need a lot of things to fall their way. its not impossible

Small home grounds, 3 of the best in the world - Gayle, Pollard, Bravo. If they give a crap and turn up and try to win then they are a chance.... I'm hoping they do as I'll collect 5k if they do:thumbsu: They just need to find a settled line up

they're better playing at home. if they played away they'd only be interesting in banging hot broads.
Anyone can win the 2020 World Cup, anyone who can be consistent and do the right things at the right time.

generally speaking if you bat and bowl well you'll win

Time for Afghanistan, Ireland, Bangladesh (Who are seeded one place above Australia) and Zimbabwe to shine
At the shortest form of the game, anyone can really win it. I just hope Australia take a real 20/20 specialist squad to the WI.
Windies win, not a chance...they don't know their ass from their elbow. I would stake it on some relative minnow winning it this time, given that the grounds and the pitches will be small and dodgy.

The West Indieshave made 20/20 their game, with format specialists like Keiron Pollard and Chris Gayle some of the best around. But a woeful performance in Australia, along with the usual squabbling last year over player payments suggests that the once great Windies will be rank outsiders going in to the tournament they're hosting. Being the home side may lend them some advantage; but overall form and experience is not on their side.

Ha. The once great West Indies? What did they have T20's back in the 80's and early 90's?
The format is no more theirs than Afridi or Yuvraj or McCullum.

They have as much chance as anyone else, but they'll come undone against slow bowlers unless Gayle is taking most of the strike. Some of their younger players look Justin Kemp quality against decent spin. They just stick the bat out while guessing.
