I haven't made it to many Port Magpies games this year, so I was wondering what some of the more reliable game goers think of him. What I've seen of him looks good, big strong athletic young guy, but obviously more likely as a KPP at AFL level, not a ruckman. I reckon he could be turned into quite a solid centre half back ... any thoughts ... ?

Craig Parry Subiaco (20yo, 196cm and 93kg - decided he had a better chance to be drafted by playing in the SANFL)

All I know is from the pre-season in that he is a Key Position player looking at holding down a CHF/CHB spot which is where he wants to play at AFL level.

I reckon hes a fantastic young footballer. Even when hes made a few mistakes, ive never seen him drop his head and he always gives 100% when hes on the field.

Has held down ruck, on his own, for the entire year this year, and been one of the top 2 or 3 players for the Pies this season.

I reckon he'd be fantastic as a CHF instead of ruck or CHB. Has a good long kick on him.

If he doesnt get drafted, i hope he stays...as i reckon hes captain material in a few years time.

I've seen five games (plus one on TV) and he has impressed me in all of them. As Macca said he's basically rucked unaided all year, possible would make a good CHF or CHB at AFL level, didn't really know that he was only 20, if that's the case then he may well get picked up next year. Good solid at the footy player who can lay a good hip & shoulder, good mark, reasonable skills and a great work ethic.
