Be more realistic. They don't pick 25 to tour England only 17.
Show some balls Homer and take 8 out the I'll give mine.

Wks(2) Gilchrist, Haddin

No Mark Waugh or Hayden although Mark Waugh will be selectedif he ever makes a run & Hayden has his chance in the current series

I pretty much agree with you goatmaster. The only difference I have is Hayden for Hussey but if Hayden doesn't make runs against the windies he will probably miss out in which case Hussey is next cab off the rank. Katich could make it as well for Symons or Martyn.

Same as Drakey except I think that at 30 Cox may have missed his opportunity and they may give Hodge a go.
They should also take an orthodox spinner but I can't think of one who has earned a trip with Brad Young injured. Maybe Miller instead of one of the quicks.

I don't believe warne will tour, i am the biggest warne fan, but i don't think he will tour.
I have a couple of smokeys i want to include:
M.Love and S.O'Leary he is an offspinner from qld playing his first shield match today, got a big future, may just be a smokey al la G.Campbell
sorry i did not expand enough, Hodge will make it through sheer wait of runs and they way he scores them, katich will go cause they want him in the side, if worse comes to worse and the aussie openers fail then Langer comes in at opener, i know this may sound silly, but you can only take eight players and that is what i think they will do, i would be interested to hear of other smokies that may be floating around, usually you know them from your own state.
My one day side for this season is as follows and i am well aware this is not the side the selectors would choose but one i would like to see go ahead
Gilchrist
A.Symonds
Ponting
B.Hodge
M.Bevan
S.Waugh
D.Marsh
I.Harvey
B.Lee
S.Magill
G.McGrath
McGrath
Lee
Magill
three stock bowlers
Harvey
Symonds
Marsh
Hodge
Bevan
part timers
I am figuring that Lee, McGrath will do some early damage, i think that marsh has a big future in the side as a damanging batsmen and an offspinner
Harvey is a very acomplished oneday bowler and will fill a simon O'Donnell role
Magill has a good oneday record
what do u guys reckon
