View Full Version : Where to sit at Telstra Dome
I'm about to book a couple of tickets for the match against the Bombers and wondering where the Port cheersquad sit. Trying to get near there so at least have a few Port supporters near by. I know level 1, but not sure of the aisle etc.
Much thanks to anyone who can point me to the right spot.

Somewhere undercover.
Not sure which section they sit but it's normally behind the goals, maybe they show the sections on the tickmaster site. It's normally the end furthest away from the city, if my memory (and sense of direction) serve. I've booked my tickets but not sure where they are.
The cheersquad normally sit where it is general admission, so wherever you book your seats you could probably just wonder down there.

Bloody Essendon make it difficult to get tickets at the Phone Dome with their "sweet" deal from stadium management. Having said that, good luck to them. Just can't sit in the AFL members area unless you are an AFL member (Essendon support).
Anyway, enough whinging - Port should be behind the goals at the Lockett end. Call Port Vic supporters group on:

What ever you do, dont pay $30 or more for a ticket, buy the cheapest ticket and you can stand behind the cheer squad.
Thats where all the singing will be done ;)

I always get the $30 level 1 tickets at the 'Dome'. Sure level 3 is $15, but it's so far up I might as well stay at home  Anyway I prefer to be reasonably close to the action. That said, $30 a ticket is a rip-off! By the time you get two tickets (myself and fiance) and parking it burns a nice hole in the wallet (assuming you don't even get the way over priced food or drink there).
I'm glad we don't play there too often (even though I like stadium), it's too damn expensive. The thing I hate most though is how we no longer get away member discounts on tickets here in Vic. I'll stop ranting now. :p

Thats what Im saying, buy the cheap tickets and just go and sit in level 1 or there is standing room on level 1 too. Any games but Essendon you can go and sit down level 1 with the cheap tickets for level 4 with out being checked. Something to remember later in the year for the Bulldogs match.

I hope it's like the bulldogs match in 01. That one was seated near the bulldogs cheer squad. Given we were giving them a flogging after about only 10 minutes there was no point abusing any bulldogs players as their own supporters were doing it quite well. :D

If you go to a number of our away games in Victoria, a Victorian based membership might be the way to go. Not sure what the benefits are exactly now but i know they used to be free addmission to a few Victorian games (perhaps 4-6) each year (depending on available tickets to the game). Maybe check that out.
You probably cant complain, $30 is a little expensive but as you said you could get tickets for $15 but prefer better (& therefore more expensive) tickets. So you've only got yourself to blame:p

I think some mates tried that, but you have to be living in Victoria.
off course there is ways around it, if you know someone living over there.

I live in Vic. but get back to SA for 5 - 7 home games each year so I still get a season ticket and full membership. As we play at the dome only a couple of times a year I can live with it. As long as we win :D

Don't forget to compensate for all the hot air the bombers supporters will be generating :p

I'm going over by bus tonight. Can't wait!!
I think I'll be getting there pretty early to get a ticket, I'll go for the cheapest on the third level, don't mind it too much I guess although I'd prefer to be in the cheer squad or bottom level somewhere. I don't care as long as the roof doesn't leak! :)
