Brian Lara has finally made some runs on this tour. He made 230 today in the game in Hobart. Good signs for the Windies and just when Brett Lee isn't playing. He still has to get past McGrath though.

How about Brad Hodge's bowling figures also! 9 Overs - 5 Maidens - 3 wickets for just 7 runs, thats fantastic!
Perhaps the 3rd test might extend to the 4th day if Lara continues his batting form.
Pity he couldn't do it in a test (this tour any way). I hope he bounces back this Friday.

about ^$%#^%* time too. I wonder how his hamstring pulled up? he got 231 BTW, 40 fours and 2 sixes.
just goes to prove, bellerive is a road. For those who don't know what I mean, it's a flat batting track full of runs = unlikely result.
With Lara finding some form, Courtney Walsh must be hoping the next test will go longer than the current 3 day tests - considering he only needs 14 wickets to reach the big 500 - he needs the Aussies to bat twice to give himself the chance to get the wickets.

Needed to find his feet I suppose. Lots of pressure as well, having to carry the entire team.
