Essendon’s Courtenay Dempsey has escaped with a sanction for striking Fremantle forward Hayden Ballantyne.

Good news. We need all the help we can get, particularly from a running player.

Once again, good to see some common sense reign :thumbsu:

The MRP  Essendon this year.

But seriously, good call.

Good to see for a change. I swear they went out of their way to pain us in other years. :p

Bloody hell, what is going on this year? I'll take it though.

Lucky to get away with a cheap shot in front of the umpire. How people think this is anything else than that has me beat.

Ballentyne should've got 20 weeks for acting. Celebrates a goal as if it was his first root. Little ********.

That's the worst pun I've seen all day.

That's great news.

And the correct decision.

It begs the question again, though, as to how on earth Paddy was suspended for his little love tap in the game against Hawthorn late last year.

Yeah, but similar sort of skirmish with jumper pulling and punching etc.

And Ryder hit Hodge with less force than Dempsey hit Ballantyne.
