I was thinking this while watching the end of Day 1 of the First Test:

1. Have the Aussies (or anyone else for that matter) had as many bowlers who have taken at least a 5-for in an innings as this series? All of our recognized bowlers have done it.

2. Have we had a series where so many bowlers have been on a hat-trick? It seems that every innings we bowl in a bowler has two wickets in two balls (or in Mcgraths case - 3 in 3!).

Cheers

Is Matthew Hayden the only Aussie player who has bowled and not take 5 wickets in an innings.

I don't think Ponting and Martyn have bowled.

Pity we haven't been able follow through & take 3 in 3 each time we've done the 2 in 2 - could have made for some good stats for the year!

From memory, the Aussie's haven't taken 2 test hat trick's in a season since 94/95 - Fleming & Warne. In fact, I don't think any Aussie has had a test hat trick since then either?

WA - I dont recall any since in a test match (apart from McGrath in the Perth test). But in the 1 dayers Anthony Stuart got a hat-trick against Pakistan in 96 I think.
