What do the rest of the Side Think of McGrath [Archive]

After the last Ashes series in Australia (which I don't need to be reminded that you won)a few mates of mine came accross the Aussie side after the last test & managed to wangle their way onto a celebratiory boat trip around the harbour that the side had arranged.One of my mates got chatting to a certain ageing spinner(who also bowls medium pace & is playing in the current test-I don't want to libel myself hehehe)& he said that 'everyone f@cking hates Glenn McGrath & that he's a f@cking poof'I just wondered whether this was 'Aussie humour' or whether it is well known that the rest of the side don't like him-looking from the outside I would think that Glennyboy is a very easy human being to dislike.

PS congratulations on your winning run your blokes just seem to get better & better there was even a big article in one of the Sunday papers over here saying that we might not have seen anything yet ,it was basically saying that McGrath,Lee,Gillespie & Warne is on paper the greatest bowling attack ever seen in Test cricket & if Warne can get back to a good standard(big ask)& Lee & Gillespie stay injury free(an even bigger ask) then anything is possible.Still I'm not gonna start pissing my pants just yet cos we're on the up & getting a bit of mongrel into our play,so we'll be ready for ya.

McGrath bowls such a consistent line and is just about the best quickie in the game. He annoys me when he loses his cool, which seems to be more often these days - he doesn't like things not going his way.

I think the side's run will come to an end in India although I think it will finish 1-1 which takes us to England. You poms are finally getting your act together and for the first time in 10 years the Ashes might be closer than many people think.
