this tipping is too easy play on!!!!

not one of the bozos in the vfl record tipped 6 winners. and most of those tosspots have shocking season tallys after 8 rounds.

Knew I should have gone for Ballarat, Bendigo are pretty poor considering they have all the Bomber youngsters!

Frankston were right in it up until 3 quarter time.

The Geelong-Box Hill match was a dead set cracker, perhaps the best game of VFL I've seen. 19.6 to 18.3, Lance Picioane had 16 possessions in the final quarter.

Springvale next week at Shepley, should be a challenge.

ROOSTERS RULE OVER BENDIGO
By DAVID BREHAUT
Monday, 26 May 2003

NORTH Ballarat maintained its supremacy over Bendigo in the Victorian Football League yesterday and at the same time climbed off the bottom of the ladder.

The Roosters had the Bendigo Bombers' measure by 21 points, a margin which did not fully credit North Ballarat for the way it dominated at the Northern Oval.

North Ballarat hardly had a passenger on a day when its physical presence through the likes of Stephen Jurica, Nathan Saunders, Craig Jenkins and Julian Field gave it a decisive edge for a scoreline of 16.15 (111) to 13.12 (90).

Bendigo has never beaten North Ballarat in the VFL and it was clear from the second quarter not even an alignment with AFL power Essendon was going to allow the country-based Bombers to break the sequence.

The Roosters poured on six goals in the second term to lead by 29 points.

They stretched this to 47 points after half-time before Bendigo made a belated surge with a seven-goal last quarter.

While this did take a little bit of the shine off the day, North Ballarat still gained much satisfaction out of again defeating Bendigo.

North Ballarat coach Steve Wright desperately wanted to see the Roosters run Bendigo into the ground in the last quarter.

"It's disappointing we didn't finish it off, but we did play our best three quarters for the year.

"We missed a chance to crush Bendigo," Wright told his players.

"We have to learn from the last quarter as we still need to play out four quarters," he said.

Although only North Ballarat's second win in seven matches, it has climbed above Werribee, Bendigo and Coburg to be just half a game and two places outside the top eight.

The Roosters now face fourth-placed Sandringham at the Northern Oval on Sunday in a clash which now takes on new significance.
