I know that this one should probably be on the Regional Board but I thought it would be more fitting to welcome back Darryl Poole for his first game in the seniors this weekend and wish him well.
I think Darryl will be kicking himself a little this week though. His sister is getting married tomorrow and he will have to miss it, if only he could have played one more week in the Reserves.
I suppose a Captains got to do what a Captains go to do.
The funniest thing is that his sister is getting married to my cousin. It probably doesn't sound that funny but my cousin and his family used to give me so much crap for following footy and the Port Adelaide Football Club and now my cousins getting married to the Port Adelaide Captains sister. Guess who think football is great now?
Does this mean that I will be related to Darryl Poole in some small way?
Anyway good luck Darryl with your game tomorrow, I must catch up with him tomorrow night for a beer at the reception!
