Anything will come of Rioli crudely putting down Kingsley with an arm to the head 60 metres behind the play??

It was 60 metres off the play

It was an arm (you see the arm go back and then Kingsleys head jolt) to the face

It was an intentional hit (maybe not intentionally high, but it was intentional contact)

It forced a player to leave the ground.

If you ask me....its just as dirty as what Cornes did.

oh...hang on....Rioli isnt a f*cking Port player....he wont even be taken to the tribunal

While its possibly hypocrisy on the part of the umpires and the tribunal as to what constitutes a rough play charge, I personally do not believe it was reportable from what I have seen.

Definitely should have been a free for shepherding 60m off the ball though.

I do think Mercuri should be suspended for his gutless headbutt of Peter Burgoyne's back.

I found it pretty hard to work out if Rioli actually hit Kingsley with his elbow just from the tellie. Enhanced vision would help.

your little holier than thou tirade about the crucifixion of port players at the afl tribunal doesn't really work when you're playing essendon. That's our pet peeve, get your own. We've had more players suspended then any other club over the past three years - we've got the right to complain...not you.. We'll have four players up on video evidence - just you wait and see. Just look at Barnard last week - he was viciously attacked by a head butt to the forearm, and the club were ready to launch a full scale appeal, but they went down to the smoke and mirrors shop, and they were sold out of smoke and mirrors...

Is this just another example of Port Adelaide desperatley trying to become more like the bombers?
you've got hardwick
you've got wanganeen
your captain is trying to pull off a james hird impression (by getting injured every second week)
you're winning at our home ground
you're probably gonna copy us and win premiership in the next few years
and now you want to complain about the tribunal?

sorry, we have to draw the line somewhere. your essendon imitation has to stop! :D  :D

Getting back to Rioli (we seem to have moved off that subject), no I don't think he will be reported. One - it may have been intentional but didn't remove all doubt about that; Two - Injury should not count(although we know it does); Three - Rioli did not appear to move much. People at the game may have seen a bit more than the telly replay and if he started well away from Kingsley and went head-hunting he is in trouble, but from what I saw it was just an over-exuberant debate over the same piece of ground.

I'm a bit more worried about Burgoyne/Mercuri. Nothing in that but you could see the glint from the tribunals' eyes in Adelaide when that happened.

I only saw the Rioli incident once, and it didn't appear to be a reportable offence, although better angles may prove otherwise.
The one I would have liked to have seen a replay of was what appeared to be an elbow to Stevens head in the first or second quarter.

Ditto for both comments.

Rioli might have have been a bit over-exuberant but at worst he used his upper shoulder.
