It's a nothing piece, but I have to laugh at the sheer hypocrisy of the media.
Jim Carrey offers his opinion on Tiger Woods, and has a shot at Tiger's wife and the media beatup over the past 5 months.
The media asks the question in the last line of this article ... should we tell Jim Carrey to mind his own business?

Carrey should mind his own business, but then again the media made it everybody else's business for months now.
As I said, it's really a nothing but it is fun to highlight media stupidity when you see it.
What's with the need to have a prefix and not covering all forms of media? Ah well Carrey is in the movies I guess. :o
Maybe it could go on the Society board.

Those in glass houses shouldnt throw stones. Australian media and society are 100 times worse when it comes to celebrity news/love in than the Americans

Main stream media. :o
One of the morning shows had some flaming entertainment hack (FEH) criticise Carrey for being a comedian commenting on a sports star's life. Apparently since they are in different fields, Carrey shouldn't have spoken. The FEH should look up the definition of hypocrisy and/or have someone with half a brain explain it to him.

In particular media telling someone to mind their own business when they have spent five months giving their opinion on the same thing.

We are paid to be malicious and fuel public sentiment, you are not, so butt out. Nice.

Its not the Australian medias fault. They just dish up what the leemings want. Oddly enough on news.com.au the top 4 articles read for the year are about Tiger Woods. They cater to the Australian society. Not there fault the Australian society is a moron

For example, I clicked on the one I am talking about in regards to Jim Carrey, not because I want to read about Tiger Woods problems particularly, but to see if the media is beating something up. I often click on headlines to see if things are a beat up or not. They might be giving me what I want, but its accidental. They think I want to read the gossip on Tiger and I am more looking at the MO of the media.
I'm not sure you need to generalise by tarring all of Australian society with the same brush.

Id say you fall in the category of about 1% of readers. I wish i was generalising but the older I grow the more I explore the more I realise just how backwards and ****ed up my generation in particular (22 years old) is. Fact of the matter is we think its more important to know about Tiger Woods sex life than the humanitarian crisis in Haiti.

Tiger's actions after the affairs became public painted a great big target on him. Everyone suddenly could start sledging the self confessed naughty boy.
Should have kept the aftermath as private as possible. Grovelling apologies in the public space did not do him much good unless he wanted to look pathetic.
