Cassisi - 24 disposals, 5 marks, 6th best
Koula - 20 disposals, 3 marks, 3 goals, 2nd best
Hall - 23 disposals, 5 marks
Morgan - 19 disposals, 12 marks, 5 goals, BOG
Gilham - 9 disposals, 1 mark
White - 11 disposals, 1 mark, 1 goal, 3rd best
Salopek - 15 disposals, 4 marks, 2 goals
Poulton - 13 disposals, 3 marks
Ebert - 31 disposals, 10 marks, 1 goal, BOG

Ebert was a star yesterday. Has a huge future.

Koula again looks like he had a good showing. Time to bring him in to see what hes got.

Morgan, id like to see get a go up forward against Collingwood this week.

Hmmm... I think we should limit the amount of players we use this year. Not that Morgan doesn't get a go, but until Thrust shows he may be a liability he's our next best available big not in the 22.

I see Port Power has Adam Morgan for round 10 in the debut game and I have Damon White. Other than that we don't have any others. I noticed that someone tipped Scott Borlace but as he is still on the rookie list that won't happen.

Thurstans didnt play in the SANFL due to general soreness so I'd think he will be eased back in the SANFL for a couple more weeks to freshen up.

Morgan would be an interesting forward pocket, and also provide that extra option if Bishop or Paxman get towelled up. I'm not against the idea.

I don't want Morgan coming in against Collingwood - he's proven too easy to rattle at AFL level up to now, and will need some regular game time to improve. Against Collingwood, it could be a liability.

If the observers are confident that Ebert could transfer some good hard midfield ability at this stage, we could do much worse than to debut him against Collingwood.

I was eavesdropping on a conversation between a Sturt runner and a Sturt trainer, and apparently it isnt general soreness, its oestitis pubis.

Didnt get to hear any more of that because they went back down the race. I'm a pretty good eavesdropper, and if they had stayed there I would have heard everything.

I'll keep my ears open (pardon the pun) and get back to you guys if I hear anything else.

Poor Koula copped a couple of whacks yesterday and has a nasty looking bruise on his face due to one particular incident in the 4th. The good news is that he's improved heaps and seems to be nearing AFL form.

Dom was good yesterday, very useful getting the ball out of defense but looked very tired at the end, probably due to running maybe 5,000km or so...

Did he bring back any souvenirs from his round australia trip?

He was too tired to show me after the game but I think he got a couple of 'souvenirs', unfortunately.

He didn't even drop in at the Club up here for a drink.

He went straight home 'cos he was tired.

Koula said he was heading along though, so you should've seen him and I think his girlfriend was around the place as well.

[edit] at least I think Dom said he was going home... *rolls her eyes* now i think about it i'm not really sure.

Why would he bring his girlfriend to Darwin?
Does she like fishing and drinking?

*rolls her eyes* sorry - took it you actually made it to the club for some reason - not with it tonight.

Take this with a shovelful of salt, but after the match tonight "Dr" Peter Larkins ( ) said Toby did have OP, that tonight was his final chance to show how he could play, and damaged his left groin area (right when Toby was conveniently clutching the right-hand side...) tonight, and should be out for around 6-8 weeks.

Considering Kane Cornes' "knee cartilage injury" what do you think's going on?

As mentioned before, he has been under a bit of a cloud re OP, regardless of what Doctor Harry Cooper or whatever his name is said (as he has yet to be correct on any injury) i'd still think he'd continue to be under that cloud.

According to MMM after the game he went into the game with OP but did an adductor (abductor? I can never remember ...) during the game which forced him off the ground. They speculated he'd be out 6-7 weeks, Channel 9 News (of course) wrote him off for the season.
