Apparently the ABC have given Dave Lennon the flick, and Peter Donegan will take over the hosting and commentating VFL games on ABC TV.

For those who watched VFL on ABC, you will know Dave as the bloke who confused teams and player names in his commentary. Supporters of clubs, officials and apparently even his co-commentators were sick of it and apparently he is gone.

Honestly, it's about bloody time. He seems a decent bloke, but he was a shocking commentator.

Getting players mixed up, saying names wrong, not knowing names and having to take ages to check his sheet.

Donegan is a much better addition.

But, I still thing the commentator in 2001 was good.

Rob Waters? He's doing sports reporting for Channel 9.

The ABC are not expecting people to seriously believe that Dave left because he didn't have time to do the VFL coverage! He lives in Bendigo so if ever he was going to stay on and call a game, the one today would've been it.

Phil Cleary was a politician,so he's not going to come out with the truth that Lennon was dumped because he was woeful.
