Love hearing this song and play it regularly. However, watching her video (1981?) the other day , she sounded slightly different to the mpegs I have. She didn't sound as clear. Or maybe I was just in a trance watching her prance around the country:D
Whatever happened to Kate?

Was the video a live version? I 've seen that and it does sound different.

Babooshka.

Also cloudbusting, and Big Sky, and a cover of Rocket Man. And she was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO cute! *hubba hubba roooowr*

Still can't believe the religious freaks branded her a with for her line in "Running Up That Hill" which stated, so evilly : "... if we only could, make a deal with God ..."

Toria Amos = Kate Bush cover band.

There are two versions of the "Wuthering Heights" video, and one live version that I have seen. The original version was her dancing in the light with a black background (similiar to "Hammer Horror" video), but was deemed too risque when first aired back in 78, possibly because of the outfit she wore. Some may consider "Hammer Horror" video as a little risque as well, considering the amount of cleavage she shows, but both are very tame when put next to "Babooshka".

The second video (which is the one most people see, with her dancing in a field at the end) was a two-day job, which used a different vocal track to the one used on the single and album. Why I don't know, but that may explain why is sounds different.

Unfortunately Kate hasn't released anything new since "The Red Shoes" in 1993, and doesn't appear to be any hurry to rectify this grave injustice (to her fans), but in 1998 there was fabulous reworking of her "Hounds of Love" Album. All the songs were digitally remastered and their were new versions of few songs as well, including "Running Up that Hill", one of her all time greats.

I love Kate Bush.

"Wuthering Heights" and "Sat in Your Lap" are my favourite songs.

I love the video for "Wuthering Heights" where she fades in and out at the end of the song.

Who plays the cool guitar bit at the end?

ps
being a dancemusic fan i even like the cover version that came out in about 94 by some mob called 'Kates Project' too, plus she was sampled in Utah Saints 'Something Good' one of my all time best dance/techno songs.
