Hmmmmmm, similar tastes to mine.

As such;
I agree with 2 and 3, but I have to say that Cheer Up was an extreme dissapointment. Bleh.

Also, how can you rate Stomping Ground as better than Goldfinger? Their first was their best by a mile, though Open Your Eyes was pretty good despite forcing their Vegan thing down my throat.

Just my thoughts.

PS - Do you like Less Than Jake at all? If I was going to do a list (which I'm not, 'cause it's too hard) they would figure prominently amongst most of those bands you've named.

Good list Squeak. Mad Caddies, RBF and Area 7's first album all came very close to the list. Looking back I'm a bit disappointed I didn't fit a ska album in.

New Found Glory are ace as well.

Goldfinger are awesome live, did you see them last time they came?

1. Cheer Up is definitely nowhere near as good as the other 2, but for mine a bad Fish album is as good as most albums.

2. SG is the only G'finger album I own, haven't heard the others enough to comment. Same with LTJ, love their music but don't actually have any of their CD's, so can't really distinguish any of their albums from one another.

GOALden - Was that the gig at Brass Monkey? Some guys I know went but I didn't know about it until after the event. Would've loved to have gone though.

hmm.. toughie, this one.

Well, here are my top 20 in no particular order... not necessarily what I consider to be the "best" albums, just my favourites. ie: There might be 2 albums by an artist.. I might not necessarily pick the one that I consider to be "better" musically or whatever.

(and due to not having heard every album ever created, this is of course limited to the ones I have a decent familiarity with)

1) Barenaked Ladies - Gordon
2) Moxy Fruvous - Bargainville
3) Metallica - Master of Puppets
4) Splendid - Have you got a name for it
5) Frente - Marvin the album
6) The Beautiful South - Blue is the colour
7) Ben Folds Five - Whatever and ever amen
8) Kasey Chambers - The Captain
9) Clouds - Penny Century
10) Eels - Daisies of the galaxy
11) Faith no more - The Real Thing
12) Letters to Cleo - Go
13) Sarah McLachlan - Surfacing
14) Nirvana - Nevermind
15) Rage against the machine - Rage against the machine
16) Red hot Chili Peppers - Blood Sugar Sex Magik
17) Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness
18) Veruca Salt - Eight Arms to Hold You
19) Weezer - Blue Album
20) Whitlams - Eternal Nightcap

Not easy to get it down to 20!

Big Ups!!! But why Slightly Odway in front of Of Someday Shambles. IMO their second album has been their best so far although Slightly Odway is a fantastic album also and is only really shaded by Of Someday Shambles.

Nah, it was at the Corner last year, just after Open your eyes had come out. Apart from someone eating a Mars Bar out of the drummers arse, it was a good gig.

Me and a few mates also headed down to the Church in Geelong to see Goldfinger, Sum 41 and Unwritten Law, that was good too (except for Sum 41, they were terrible). Got blind and I think I ended up telling the guy writing the review for the Geelong street mag all bulltish names to the UL songs.
