Melbourne have got their act together. Adelaide will get their shit together at some stage. West Coast will win enough at Subi to avoid the spoon. Which only leaves the Kangas as potential rivals for the spoon.
It pisses me off that there was so much sympathy for Melbourne yet they tanked for two years to get high draft picks. They only missed the finals for three years. We've missed the finals for five years(I don't count last year as making the finals - at 10-1-11 we didn't really deserve to make the finals and our finals performance showed that). Yet because we don't tank we're stuffed.

Had a quick look at the fixture only 1 game against richmond, adelaide and north. We are going to have to battle hard for every win.
The competition for the final spots in the 8 are heating up and it's a terrible year to come 9th-13th given the whole GC draft concessions.
Still hopeful we can get our act together for all games, not just the Blockbusters. I'd LOVE to see us win an Away game this season..
West Coast are no better than us
Adelaide - Something isn't right there, and if they lose next week, their season will be just about over.
Melbourne's run won't last
North are still very poor
Carlton are no better than us
Fremantle won't last beyond Round 11
Hawthorn are no better than last year
Port are no better than us
Richmond are Richmond

Some teams are packing punches above their weight, we are no different in that we are capable of doing the same...

Right now things are looking a bit grim with teams that were below us doing a fair bit better than us. My hopes are going along the lines of Whomb's predictions.
We need to win tomorrow so I can start getting my hopes up again for finals.

Fair enough. This is what I wrote on the Veteran's Board on the thread about what you hate about Big Footy these days:
The Essendon board is a disgrace these days. You can't criticise the team even when they deserve it. You must make sure you see everything through rosy coloured glasses and bow down at the throne of Matthew Knights. All dissenters who refuse to overrate our list and say that we are on the verge of a dynasty will be shouted down and told that they're not a true supporter. Back in 05 and 06 when we were terrible you could at least go on the board and have a whinge and a joke about how bad we were. It made being terrible a bit more tolerable. These days if you say anything negative you aren't a true supporter. I won't be using that board again anytime soon.

As I said in response to you in another thread, you seem to be upset because you state your opinion, and others state theirs in response. What's the problem?
From what I've seen, most posters questioning the merits of others' loyalties are in regards to comments along the lines of giving up on the team/club after a loss; by that I mean refusing to follow them anymore, not stating that they worry our season might be over.
I've read every single post on this board for around a year now, and I can certainly tell you that there's been a noticeable shift in the opinion of Matthew Knights. Rarely ever do I see "He will be our premiership coach, no doubt in my mind". So where you're pulling this apparent agenda towards the pro-Knights/Essendon, I don't know.
As for being unable to criticise the team, all threads are left open unless they're either baiting others or utter rubbish. The changes thread after losses were the latter, hence the closing. They're going to be open from now on, regardless.
It's your call, but if that's your reason for leaving, that's your problem. Very petulant if you ask me.
