The England team has flown out to Sri Lanka today so do any of you Aussies give us a chance or do u think Murillitharam will just clean us up & take about 15 wickets every Test,I must confess to be being a bit concerned.

DIPPER - I had to smile when I read on the weekend what Hussain said about the tour to Sri Lanka and facing Murali

"Apart from running up with his mad action and mad eyes and swinging it both ways about six feet and eight men around the bat jabbering and appealing in 40 degrees heat, there's no problem at all"

I actually think the Poms may have the edge here. They didn't disgrace themselves againt Pakistan (actually winning the series) in similar kinds of conditions. If they can regularly post scores of 400 they should do well.

I don't rate Sri Lanka that much at the moment - not since they slid after winning the World Cup. I don't think there batting has ever been strong enough for Test cricket, not being able to consitently post 400+ scores.

Suer they did have a series win against Australia - the test they won was the same where Gillespie and Waugh crashed into each other. Hard to win a test with only 9 players! In the remaining 2 tests we were in winning positions but were robbed through weather.
