Select this week's side for the game against Melbourne.
Now sitting in 7th position with 5-4 win-loss record after Round 9, Fitzroy have a good chance to consolidate a position in the Eight.
We're probably getting a little ahead of ourselves here, but IF Fitzroy makes the finals, would Mobbenfuhrer be able to run a final involving Fitzroy using the program that is used for SweetFA Footy, with perhaps abilities adjusted to reflect the 2003 form of each competing player?
Fitzroy's full 2003 squad:

I've selected a few players who are under injury clouds (Lloyd, Johnstone), but hopefully they'll make the squad come the weekend. I have a feeling J.Barker may get a run this week - his form in the seconds has been reasonable.
J.Brown will be a definite omission with a hamstring injury.

Can certainly run the match ... can't affect the abilities ... it doesn't have attributes.

Who knows, but we might even be able to field a side, if enough Fitzroy players remain (well, in the first week of the finals anyway - although, there is still the possibility that we 'could' have enough goal-scorers right through the finals, even if we don't have a full squad!).
If that doesn't work, perhaps we could just rule the competition off at the end of the season, as they did in 1897, when Essendon won the first season of the VFL (hopefully we finish on top!).
Looks like this will be the final squad (from those players getting a run in AFL sides this week - I'm pretty sure I got all of them):
B: C.Johnson, S.Prestigiacomo, B.Hart
HB: M.Pike, S.Paxman, R.Warfe
C: D.Headland, D.Wirrpunda, M.Lokan
HF: J.Molloy, F.Gehrig, S.Power
F: P.Matera, A.Lynch, M.Lloyd
Foll: B.McDonald, D.Ward, L.Power
Inter: N.Holland, J.Plunkett, T.Sporn, L.Picioane
A.Lynch 5.5
M.Pike 2.0
L.Power 1.0
C.Johnson 1.0
D.Ward 1.0

D.Wirrpunda 1.0
Another massive win to the Roys:

Just on the goal-kicker's list, didn't M.Lokan kick two goals in a game the other week?
