View Full Version : Lee Out of India Tour
Just listened to the news, Brett Lee will miss the tour of India due to an elbow injury. That explains why he bowled so poorly yesterday.

To be honest when Lee went off yesterday I was thinking "They can't pick him now can they" and that he should be rested so he's 100% fit for the Ashes series.
Could this open up the door for Bracken?
Is Gillespie fit at the moment? Could be a little lean on the bowling side

So is that why he left the field
The commentators said it was because of a stiff back.

I'm fairly sure that they said he obtained the injury from fielding a throw, not bowling. Funny thing is, he says his backs fine.
Gillespie will definately be back now, but who else? Fleming, Bichel, Bracken? I reckon Don Nash may even make the Ashes squad now.
I'd be incredibly pissed if Lee doesn't make the Ashes Tour. Surely Fleming's there and probably Bracken ( why else would they pick him ) for that left arm Bruce-Reid thing.
It'd just be our luck that he's 100% fit & raring to go for the Ashes & that Dizzy gets through the whole series without injury as well-as much as I'd like to see Lee in action we could do with every break going.

http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/frown.gif I'm...sob....almost...sob....crying. It's so sad. He has already missed enough cricket! I think I'll die if he doesn't make the Ashes.....(praying). Nah, by then I'll have football back. http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/smile.gif
