Was never a huge Crue fan, but on recommendation got this book the other day. Great read, full of all the excesses and madness you'd expect. Reads a little like a cartoon, how these blokes are still breathing amazes me. I got the impression none of them are nice blokes at all, and all success did for them was turn them from broke drugged out wonkers to rich drugged out wonkers (with better looking women). Not for the faint of heart or easily offended, a great read (love the cover too).

Interesting post NDG.....I grew up listening to the CRuE (definately a BIG FAN back then) and just like most boys they were / ARE A PARTY RIOT !!! Have thier vids, records ect ect...even the patch on my demin jacket ! :D

Fav CRuE tracks : Live Wire, Smokin' , and KickStart

Fav CRuE album: Shout At The Devil

But It's interesting that someone who didn't grow listening to them like yourself NDG, to say you enjoyed the read...sounds like I'll have to snap it up as I wouldn't be complete without it when my kids need the same inspiration.:D

Except Mick Mars.........he seemed ok.

A bit weird, but ok.

The Dirt is definately a fantastic read.

Here's the first paragraph of the book for anybody who's interested: ;)

(by Vince Neil)

Her name was Bullwinkle. We called her that because she had a face like a moose. But Tommy, even though he could get any girl he wanted on Sunset Strip, would not break up with her. He loved her and wanted to marry her, he kept telling us, because she could spray her cum across the room.

Apparently, the movie is being made too......

Quite simply there are books and then there is Motley`s book. Easily the best read I have ever had, could not put it down.

some news from www.beat.com.au :

Misundertood, is the working title for the autobiography by former Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee. It is due around August on Atria Books, the hardcover imprint of Simon & Schuster. It is said to contain many details not included in the Motley book The Dirt.
