I must admit, I'm a bit fired up today.

Got a dental appointment for a filling this morning, yet even that doesn't douse the flame.

For some reason, my ladder doesn't match with that of the VAFA website. I'm about to go comparing scores to see what's going on.

On the VAFA website, these miscalcs were discovered :

Round 3
FITZROY REDS 4.3 8.11 10.14 13.21.99
BENTLEIGH 2.3 6.6 6.8 8.10.66

Round 5
OLD GEELONG 6.4 10.12 18.14 29.21(195)
HAWTHORN 3.1 5.1 6.3 7.5 (49)

Plus there were some occasions where a point or two had been added to the score at a later date.

With all this taken into account, assuming that in the above scenarios the G & B were correct but the P incorrect, the ladder should read :

Team Name P W L D For Against Perc. Pts
Peninsula OB 8 8 0 0 1093 493 221.70% 32
Fitzroy Reds 8 6 2 0 760 555 136.94% 24
West B'wick 8 6 2 0 824 616 133.77% 24
Williamstown 8 5 3 0 831 706 117.71% 20
Old Carey Gr 8 4 4 0 1057 708 149.29% 16
Old Geelong 8 4 4 0 874 727 120.22% 16
La Trobe Uni 8 3 5 0 614 669 91.78% 12
Bentleigh Am 8 3 5 0 654 967 67.63% 12
Oakleigh Am 8 1 7 0 646 1124 57.47% 4
Hawthorn Am 8 0 8 0 471 1259 37.41% 0

Err ... we played pretty well and won, closed down shop in the last quarter, which despite it being well-played, was still a very boring quarter :)

Pleasure to have met skilts for the first time, at the match!

Just not up to scratch Mobbenfuhrer getting the ladder wrong is unacceptable.

Good to see us climbing the ladder and strengthening our spot in the top 4.

I see the guys won but I want to know what happened? Who played well? what's Haydn's excuse for the magoos losing?

Where is it all??????

I know I wasn't there but I did have a good excuse so help me, and what did skilts think?

The VAFA ladder is wrong, not mine.

Go tell the VAFA that. They'll tell you to have a cold cup of tea and rack off.

I have told them.

If they reckon eight goals ten equals sixty-six ... perhaps they shouldn't be in the football administration business!

I can see someone with a chance to replace Wayne jackson there. :D

Skilts encountered exactly what he thought he would at this level of VAFA. These blokes played at a standard just above the one I did, when I played footy. They were just that bit bigger and quicker than those I would have played against.

The weather was indifferent, because of a wind which vacillated between straight down the ground, from the west and totally across the ground. I went out to the huddle at quarter time, for the three coaches' addresses, and was appalled by the quality, or lack thereof, of the playing surface. It was then that I understood the difficulties the players may have encountered with their footing and accurate foot disposal.

I'm in a difficult position, whereby I haven't checked with Mobbenfuhrer if it's OK to write about his(Mob's) friends.

All I'll say now, is that it was bloody marvellous to see the colours running around again.

If it's of any interest, I'll be posting in more detail later.
