I think Steve Waugh just ahead of Mark. And Adam Gilchrist in third.
I don't care who wins it just as long as Brian Lara doesn't get it!!!

My roughie is Damian Martyn, dont know if hes played enough games but did very well when replacing an injured Ponting in NZ and has been a success in our limited overs side. A good each way bet!

With the scandal, I doubt they would be willing to give the award to Mark Waugh, although IMO he does deserve it for a wonderful season. I expect his twin brother to beat him in a close count.
Martyn will be the dark horse and the games he did play for Australia were top class. I just think he needed to play a test match or two in Australia to have a realistic chance.

I've never heard of the Allan Border medal but if it's given to someone for being a grumpy bastard then I think that Stuart McGill should win it this year & every year until he retires.

i think steve waugh will win it by 1 vote in front of mark.
colin miller - test player of the year on countback against slater and s. waugh
glenn mcgrath - one day player of the year
darren lehmann - state player of the year
nathan bracken - young player of the year
