If you listen to Brian Taylor on triple m during doggies games it can give you a terrific insight into some of our tactics and our thinking with regards to some of our moves.Yesterday he revealed that the reason Bowden has been coming off when he is seemingly flying is because he doesnt have a very big "wind tank" meaning he lacks the ability to run out a game.For me that answers a few questions to me about his treatment at times.It also says to me that if he can improve that side of his game he will be a real force when hes able to play full games.Also picked up that we were aiming for more of a one kick one handball type game over the last couple of weeks.Also said they were working hard on Brian Harris leading and kicking for goal.
On an entirely different topic did anyone catch the interview with Smorgon prior to the match?Had some very interesting things to say about Wallace and also what we would target this year at trade time.Was pretty adamant that we would go pretty hard after some good key position players.He said they think we have a great midfield and good flankers etc but we really need to get a couple of quality big men.Thats all music to my ears.He said Wallace organised a meeting with Carlton officials thinking he was close to getting the job and was pretty much told to get lost by the officials and the position is not open.The issue clealry still didnt sit well with Smorgon.
