The ad for it looks terrible :/
I believe Australian writers can do good comedy, but usually in TV series. Haven't really seen a good aussie comedy film.

Summed it up in one. If the trailer is meant to be 'funny', they are kidding themselves.

It was written by Peter Helliar so you can guarantee it will suck
Does Peter Dinklage jump out of a coffin high off his ass. If so I'll watch it.

saw it last week. Lot better than I expected but pretty cliched Rom-Com
sometimes i wonder if part of helliar's act is to have the viewer cringe at what is apparently inept humor. strauchanie? where being a terrible comedian is part of the comedic act. mostly though, misunderstood genius is just too far a leap for me to make, so he's just someone who consistently has no idea how despised he is by the masses.

Believe it or not David and Margaret actually thought it was a decent film. Still won't be watching it though.

David and Margaret have absolutely no integrity, they give all Aussie films glowing reviews no matter what.
I've seen them shitcan a few Aussie movies, especially the hyped up more commercial ones. They are easily seduced by independent arthouse-ish movies whether they be Australian or foreign.
