Hello, O' crosstown unfortunates ;)
I have been musing of late on the reasons for Adelaide fans having such a hatred of Collingwood. I mean you guys aaaaaaaaaaaaalllmost seem to hate them more than Port. Certainly you hate them more than Port fans do. I haven't quite cracked it yet, but could it be just the arrogance? After 100 years of Port arrogance in the SANFL, is it the thing you hate most?
And they certainly are an arrogant bunch of ****ers. Damnit, they must have been watching us all this time! :)

I liken Collingwood to Norwood. Think they are this great huge traditional club yet can hardly win a flag to save themselves.
Adelaide have a dismal record against Collingwood, so I hate losing to them. Other than that I'm not too concerned, although I can't stand their president. I certainly don't hate them as much as Port though. I wasn't really baracking for either side on Friday.

Looks like i am the odd one out. I hate Collingwood more than Port:eek: . Its a combination of things Pred. McGuire, them bullsh*ting how great a club they are when in reality they are the opposite. Their supporters are bunch of ignorant wa*ker. They think that they are the greatest and that world revolves around them. Bunch of arrogant wa*kers.
I dont hate Collingwood but some of thier supporters are right up there. Actually, its a bit like Pork;)

What's left to say, Stiffy!! You've said it all, mate. How supporters of an unsuccessful heap of sh*t like Collingwood can walk around like orangoutans beating their chest is beyond me - at least their knuckle dragging cousins from down the Port support a club that has a genuine recent history of achievement.
1 premiership in forty something years. Collingwood - pffffft!!!
Possibly goes a way to explaining their paranoia about their "sacred" black and white.
They couldn't stand a club that has actually got a successful on-filed record "stealing" their symbol of decades of very loud under-achievenent.
Yeah, it mostly comes down to their supporters.
I don't hate the club as such, I in fact admire some of their players and I actually like Eddie :o He annoys me on occasions but he's definitely a role model for someone like myself.
But their supporters can really **** me off, arrogant to the extreme, though you have to respect their undying loyalty to the black and white jumper.
However, all in all, my dislike of Collingwood is rather minimal compared to the feelings I have for our cross-town rivals.
Port Adelaide or Collingwood,
No contest,
No way could i support the Port Power not even if they was playing Liverpool or the Arsenal & for a life long Man U supporter that's saying something,
I detest the Paps where as with Collingwood i can't stand their bloody president but other than that they are just another Victorian club who like to shoot their mouths off more than the rest of the clubs from Melbourne,

I used to be a Collingwood fan (family of Vic 'Pies fans when we came over to SA when i was 3) before the Crows came in - that also explains the adoption of Port Adelaide - for the black and white stripes.
Therefore, I don't hate Collingwood by any means. ;)

Didn't really hate them till that incident. There is no doubt in my mind that he cost us a Grand Final berth last year.

Like Stiffy I hate the Pies more, although probably not the case when Port 1st entered the AFL competition. How can you like a team with arrogant Sir Eddie in charge of the most over-rated club in the AFL, combined with all the bull$h!t that comes from the mouths of many of their supporters. You would think they have had the success lately of a Manchester United. Most of their supporters are seriously deluded & take everything as gospel from their Pied Piper president.
Probably dislike Collingwood more than Port - but then again, I haven't lived in Adelaide for 14 years, and with the last few showdowns not being on FTA or radio, the rivalry with Port can seem a bit distant from here.

I never really started to hate Collingwood that much until september last year. The **** their supporters did to us after that prelim was purely shocking. Most feral supporters I have ever seen.
