Lovett, 28, of Port Melbourne, appeared at the Melbourne Magistrates Court this morning for a committal mention where a charge of digital rape was laid.

They say things happen in 3's........I'm awaiting the next victim to come forward. Hey, Tiger apparently had 120 victims !
The second charge relates to the same woman, who alleges Lovett raped her at a Port Melbourne apartment last Christmas Eve.
Not sure what the story is here... but it sounds as though Lovett is being charged over two different incidents with the one women...
Which seems strange.. unless they took place on differing dates??

Look, I'm going to be honest... first thoughts when I saw the words "digital rape" were online/Facebook/cyber rape etc (as technically impossible as it may sound) :o so thanks for clearing that one up...
It's a difficult situation. I'm not sure whether to feel sorry for Andrew, disappointment or anger... or all of the above...
Its a fail safe method by the police in case the Rape charge doesn't STICK.

Just to clear it up - legally, rape is the sexual penetration not just by the penis, but also by an object or part of the body.
