Pretty even qtr from what was said, scoreboard "reflecting it". Essendon not being as accurate, the siren saved the Bombers from conceding another goal.

They asked Hird about it, said there doesn't appear to be anything wrong with him and if there was he should've taken the week off - if you decide to play you need to perform.

I honestly think we should be in front, we're making quite a few mistakes, no talk, etc - the pressure is there though.

Davey has dropped a few marks due to being hesitant when he sees a player coming at him. Stanton's been pushed into defence and not really driving through midfield.

Still the usual chants of "kick ze f'ing ball" (deserved). What is dempsey doing in defence?great on the wing or hff, but not a backmans asshole. Davey is not a lead up forward. Very overrated player IMO. Struggles to mark, tackle and pick the ball up.

Yeah, we're doing alright - lot's of pressure around the ball, neither team as really broken away just yet.

Really need to work on talking when two guys are going at the ball, defence needs some work.

Winderlich showing some early form, Zaka, Howlett, Fletch, Watto all doing well, McVeigh has been good as well as a few others.

Kept Pierce, Rodan and Boak rather quiet.

Hurley and Dempsey need to lift big time, Lonergon doing well after a shaky start.

Missed Slatts and it really did show.

Bit too much handball early on.

Close game, but pretty scrappy with neither team taking opportunities. As always we're getting caught with no players behind the ball. Quick goals against the flow of play and us not being able to get shots on goal while the ball is in our 50 is what is keeping Port in the game.
