We have reached a record membership level this year. I think if we start winning games now and keep going to the end of the year we could end up breaking 25,000 members next year.

Well done again everyone.

The Club really has to capitilise on this year's effort, obviously finals are out of the question and a bottom 4 finish is looking very likely atm but as long as they remain competitive and the youngsters show that there is hope for big improvements in the next 2-3 years I think the membership numbers will continue to improve, 25000 might not be as far fetched as first thought. I still think the Vietnamese community and the increasing African community in the local area are groups they should be targeting.

Are we off the bottom of the membership ladder? I wonder if Bruce El Special has seen our membership figures.

I think we may be 4th last on the membership ladder, i think the kangaroos, saints and melbourne may be behind us.

Is it just me or do we tend to cop the "don't have any supporters / no members" drivel more than the others? Considering that we are on the bottom of the ladder and having a dog of a year so far those figures are pretty impressive. Especially if we are ahead of teams like St Kilda and North who are having a pretty good start to the year.

I still think if we can have a good 2nd half of the year we chould be able toget close to 25,000 members.

Yeah if the boys are able to turn things around on the field, im sure we will be able to reach our goal of 25, 000 members in the not too distant future.

I think it's a perception that will be difficult to erase. Hopefully some good years back near the top of the ladder and no more "BANKRUPT BULLDOGS" headlines will help.

Record membership and sponsorship at the same time we are having our worst season in ages. If we could ever get our act together there would be no stopping us :)

I managed to get 2 non-members to pay good money to come to the SCG for our home game v Swans.

All the meore impressive that one is a member of the SCG and a Swans supporter and had free entry anyway.

Well done to Cam Rose, Mel & team.

Trick now is to make sure members are satisfied & get good value for their money so as there is no question about them signing back up next year. Clearly we are not getting much satisfaction on field at the mo but to me the other things need to keep coming. Outside of entry to games (which I dont see many of up here in the ACT) what does a member get? I read the Bugle cover-to-cover when it arrives but would be nice to feel a bit more "valued" than that.

I guess I am biased because the main benefit is going to games which I cannot do.

I can't go to games either but all I ask for is an occasional win. :(
However, frequent wins are preferable. :D

Sorry to dredge up this thread again but I see today the website says our membership is now at 21,257.

Well done again to admin/membership crew. I assumed at 20,900 in late May it would go no further however another 350 members since then euals another $35,000 so that's a top effort. :)
