View Full Version : Where will they all play?
With a base of Developing Talls when they are all ready to play Senior Football what possions will they all play if they happend to be on the same team.
(Walsh, Skipper, Bowden, Wight, Minson ect)
Cheers! Look foward to see how you would structure it up.

Walsh : CHF or CHB
Minson : Ruck/Forward
Wight : Ruck/Forward
Skipper : CHF or CHB
Bowden : Tall flanker, hopefully forward and back
Wiggins : Will probably be traded or delisted.
K-Mac : Mostly forward but versatile enough to play back.

I know most don't hold him very high, but i think a trade that see's us with a pick is a viable option. Don't let him go for nothing.
Would rather see K Mac play back a lot more than forward

ATM Wiggins is headed for delistville, a free spot on our list is better than Wiggins.
K Mac reads the play very well n I think ATM he should play down back for the most of the time n used as a wildcard up forward on occassions.

I'm pretty sure he'd be worth a draft pick.

Straight swap for David Bourke
Geelong could be interested as they are lacking foward options.
Is Minson a full time ruckman or releif ruckman?i have yet to see him play, information about him would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

That would be a waste of paper and fax costs. All up about 50 cents.

No they aren't lacking forward options, they are lacking GOOD forward options.
Kent Kingsley (2nd highest goal kicker last year) is playing reserves ATM so they have plenty of options.
Sidenote: should we go afte Kent Kingsley?

Yeah he would be nice a pick up for the club. Wouldnt give too much up for him though. Also he is only 24 years old and has alot of football left in him.

In all seriusness if Wiggo can't do a thing in the leagues bottom side no one is going to trade for him

How about Wiggo for big Peter Street down at Geelong? That wouldnt be too bad at all as Street is very tall, 208cm to be exact, is only 22 - 23 years old and has had some ruck expereince at AFL level. He would add some much needed height to our team and is a good tap ruckman.

Can't get a game at Geelong, enough said. But geez, the Dogs need some height urgently. Bruton appears to be a tree with gangly arms that wave everywhere.
A straight swap for Wiggins could have some merit. Can't rate him at all; seems to do ok at VFL level but chokes in the big time. Bowden and Harris are now well past him.
Wiggins and Eagleton for Spriggs and Street. Hmmm.

This could be construed as another lose-lose trade but often underperforming mediocre players find their second wind at another club.
Paul Barnard,Matthew Hogg,Andrew Leoncelli come to mind but there dozens more.
Peter Foster is our most famous fringe player from another club that went on to be one of our greats I have seen over the last thirty years.

Spriggsy has untapped potential,Eagleton is a proven dud.
Geelong would laugh at this trade. We would have to give up a bit more.
Spriggs is small however of which we already have an abundance of small midfielders. We would be more interested in Chapman.
