I think I'd prefer the spelling bee. I was astounded when I saw it on ESPN a few days ago. Now at least I can convince my Year 8 English class next year that they can have something to aspire to if ESPN shows an International Spelling Bee. Gosh, I could be the coach of an international sporting team! The Socceroos...... pfffttt.

U missed out big time. Was the longest record bee ever, the standard of spelling was awesome. Also had a large level of emotion with 2 Texans in the last 6, a Texan has never won the national spelling bee, unitl now with Sai Gunturi from Dallas getting up in a tight duel. The tension during the bee was unbelievable, the only problem was one young girl who seemed to think she had all day to spell. Apart from that great afternoon in front of the box after watching Emilios Mighty Ducks win in OT, how the Wings goign Xie, mwahahaha

Chicago,
This thread was developed in the mind of PC.
Why, oh why, do you have concerns about our public education system?

Herr Walker,
Surely PC's genius wasn't directed nor encouraged successfully at Broady Tech. Imagine what could have been with a perspicacious mind such as his at, say, Melbourne Grammar or Xavier. He might have been leading an affluent and salient life now instead of the impecunious existence that currently has been thrust upon him. The world is indeed a dysphoric place because of this. :( Do you not agree, kind sir?
Good on ya, PC anyways!:D

There is at least four words there I have no idea how to say or what they mean - and I went to school in the good ol' days.

I just love my thesaurus. :D I just noticed that the word "thesaurus" isn't in my thesaurus. Spooky!
When posting a message for the honorable Mr. Walker, I believe we should all lift our game and try to rise to his lofty expectations.

Indeed not.
i was making the point that if you can achieve individual eforts of brilliance such as this thread on a public education imagine what you could achieve if you had attended Melbourne Grammar or Xavier or Sunshine West High School
