Adam Selwood
'The Paedophile'

One of West Coast's most highly rated players, especially amongst fans on internet sites, Adam Selwood is without a doubt the greatest player to ever be accused of paedophilia since Jimmy Stynes.

Enjoy some snaps:

Training hard on the track

Pleading his case

A.Selwood never gives up. Even after his opponent has gotten away he tries to lure them back through the power of telepathy.

From Wikipedia:

Selwood was recruited from Bendigo Pioneers as the West Coast Eagles (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/West_Coast_Eagles)' third pick, and number 53 overall in the 2002 AFL Draft (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2002_AFL_Draft). In 2003, his debut season, Selwood played two games including the losing elimination final against Adelaide (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adelaide_Crows). He played three games in 2004 before osteitis pubis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osteitis_pubis) curtailed his season.
In 2005, Selwood played 21 matches and received a rising star nomination in round 16. He was knocked unconscious in a collision with Adelaide captain Mark Ricciuto (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Ricciuto) in round 22 but the forced layoff helped Selwood to recover from compartment syndrome (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compartment_syndrome). He returned in the preliminary final against Adelaide and played in the grand final against Sydney (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sydney_Swans), which the Eagles lost by four points.
2006 saw him cement his place in the Eagles' starting 22, and build a reputation as a defensive midfielder. Selwood played in all of the 26 games for West Coast in 2006.
Selwood finished third in West Coast's club champion awards in both 2007 and 2008. He played all 22 games in 2008 and was a vice captain of the Australian team that played Ireland in the International Rules series.

And finally, when I googled 'Adam Selwood', I found a site:
www.AU.Shopping.com (http://www.AU.Shopping.com)
Where apparently there are "Sales on Adam Selwood", and you can "Compare Adam Selwood prices".

I posted that because I thought some of you might want your own Adam Selwood. I bought one for myself, but all they've sent me so far is a toasted sandwich maker. Never trust the internet I suppose.

In conclusion, Adam has been much maligned this year, but some people need to remember that he has proven himself reliable and consistent, and stop looking for an easy target. The guy is a leader and a gun, and I have no doubt he will bounce back from a disappointing start to 2010.

Clearly everyone is more interested in young hacks like Kennedy, so it looks like I'll have to get this thread off the ground.

But (serious face), I agree with this.
Obviously he hasn't been playing his best this year, but he's an important part in the team. Top five so far in overall disposals (in both kicks & handballs), marks and tackles... doesn't always use the ball effectively, but he leads by example with his attitude and onfield efforts.
