Why is Johnno playing his 200th this week? Because even though he was talented when he was younger, he had problems with his disposal, which he worked really hard to improve on. His dedication and committment to the club is why he is the player that he is today. Youngens take note!
Congratulations to Johnno on 200 games of A+ effort. It just shows what a bit of talent and a lot of determination can do.
Keep on smilin' :D :D :D :D :D :D

I just wish Johnno would smile once in a while!;)
His badge is currently on my scarf hanging on the wall. Congratulations to a role model for the younger Doggies.
:D :D :D :D :D :D Six smilies to celebrate his 200th!
I wish he had of played his 200th last week, might have got us over the line. Anyway doesn't matter,he is a Bulldog champion,in our team of the century and all round nice guy.
One of the most popular players amongst opposition supporters in the AFL.
Congratulations.
Trivia note : Wore 33 initially and some people nicknamed him Choco.

Yes congratulations to Johnno on a (continuing) great career. It is unfortunate that the game is in Perth and he will not get the chance to see how much he is appreciated by the Doggies fans.
Chicago,
The tradition here is for the top players to wear the lowest numbers possible. Is this the case in the US including baseball?

Football players wear numbers corresponding to positions on the field. For example, quarterbacks wear lower numbers.(I wonder if that's because they think they're better than anyone else.) I'm not sure of all of the permutations involved. Baseball players usually wear numbers as to how high they can count.
Speaking of baseball, my hero on the Cubs, Sammy Sosa, was caught tonight playing with a corked bat which helps in hitting and is illegal. He said it got mixed up with his other bats and that he only uses it for practice. It was discovered by the umpires when he broke his bat after getting a hit. The cork was clearly visible on the inside. He was ejected from the game and faces a ten game suspension and a fine. It couldn't have come at a worse time with the Cubs playing the New York Yankees this weekend at Wrigley Field for the first time since 1938. Damn..... I just realised that that was only 14 years before I was born!

My brother will be there, representing us all.
Johnno's 200th game and Curly5's 1000th post may prove to be a fortuitious juxtaposition of milestones. In addition we are both Cancerians and I find Mystic Medusa's version of our horoscope for the coming few days most interesting:
"Crabs getting it together? Saturn into Cancer is a once-in-29-years moment for re-restructuring the essential You and putting together a few moves. Don't be surprised to start feeling immensely organised and driven by awesome goals. For 25 months!"
Doesn't that sound promising? (no rude comments about Crabs thanks, Cancerians are very sensitive and our feelings are easily hurt ;))
We could do worse than consult the stars - nothing else has worked so far. :(

I rate Johnno as one of the best Bulldogs I've had the honour to watch play footy. The bloke epitomises the spirit of the club and is a true Son of the Scray. An absolute role model for everyone in his attitude to his footy and commitment to his club.
I remember earlier in his career I used to think "this could anywhere" when he was having a shot at goal, these days he is just about our most effective forward and one of the best marks for someone of his size going around. Deserves a premiership.
Well Done Johnno!

IMHO he is clearly our best player, 25 touches, 6 grabs and 2 goals a game is just freaky.
