View Full Version : Did the umpires on Sunday barrack for Geelong?

How bad was the umpiring on Sunday? I found it hard to tell between the umpire and a Geelong player on Sunday it was that bad.
Even Eddie 'I hate Adelaide' McGuire was criticising the umpires. If he's being sypmathetic to the Crows because of poor umpiring, then it must have been real bad.
But then again, I'm used to performances like that now, they've been like this for years.
They cheated. As simple as that, including the blind retard masquerading as a goal umpire.
Am I losing my marbles??? I can't find anywhere a report of Milburn being cited for striking Welsh. If he hasn't been then IMO that adds a whole new dimension to your post.
Not citing him is a continuation of the cheating that took place on the ground. I mean that. Any Crow player that did that would have been up there Monday night being buried by the umpire's evidence to make sure that he got at least 2 games.
The VFL still runs the game!!
Maybe the Milburn report went missing with the Riccuitto report from the previous week. :o

I was at the game on Sunday and we all thought the umpiring was terrible. They were gutless to give a free unless the crowd allowed it. And as for Abblett, that bloke is untouchable down there. He played a good game but that was partly due to being given a free ticket by the umpies...

Maybe the umpires were scared they might get the two fingered salute from a 70 something year old man!!
BTW is the media gagged from making comments about these things? Outside of Eddie, there has been virtually no follow up at all.
For the record, at the time I wondered if we were witnessing actual cheating, it seemed so bad. I have watched it again since and believe it or not the umpiring looks worse the second time round! Unbelievably bad!!

Apart from the result, the whole day's football was fairly forgettable.
