Well, due to peer pressure and overwhelming media backlash, Slats has been suspended for the 2nd test and fined 50% oh his match fee.
The Big question now is who will open with Hayden?
Will they opt for Martyn or will they fly over Blewett?
I say Hayden & Martyn
your thoughts?

I would love to see them fly Blewett over but seeing how Martyn is there they will play him and maybe open with Slater and Mark Waugh???

Prefer Hayden and Langer, Ponting at 3. Bit of a radical re-shuffle, but I see Ponting as being a long-term possibility at #3, and he should be tried there, even if the positions are shuffled back to normal after this match.
Of course it's all a bit academic now that Slater's playing.

I checked out the Baggy Green site, and the sentence is actually one match, suspended for six months - in other words he will play in the 2nd Test vs India, Maybe Nick TPM got his info off Sports Tonight or something http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/smile.gif

Nick - I read the report in the paper and straight away assumed that he was going to be rubbed out for the 2nd test, believe it or not Brad Hardie actually explained it on radio and for once something he said made some sense.
So Slater will play - he'd better made some runs otherwise Martyn will be after his blood for the 3rd test http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/wink.gif
