Well the 2nd Test in Sri Lanka & England have got the cheatas on 6/98 a lead of only 8 runs at the end of the 3rd day.I don't know what's going on but from somewhere we seem to have found some guts & desire from somewhere & we're managing to give the Asian sides a game of it in their own conditions-even after we beat Pakistan 1-0 the press over here were saying that it will be much harder in Sri Lanka & that a drawn series will be a good result but we should win this Test now(barring any miracles or monsoons)& will go into the last Test full of confidence on a pitch that apparently offers a bit to the fast bowlers which obviously suits us.The best thing about it is that everyone here was pissing their pants over Murillitharan but our batters seem to have played him pretty well, and our quicks have bowled bloody well in not the most helpful conditions.
I've said it before & you probably thought that I was talking out of my @rse but I really believe we'll give you're blokes a good game of it in the Ashes in the summer, our fast bowlers r pretty lethal on home soil now, I just hope the batting can hold up against McGrath & co.I think that you'll beat the Indians 3-0 & I hope we keep our good form going so that it could be the best Ashes series for 20 years(we all remember that one don't we?)

1. Don't mention 1981
2. Series should be either nil-nil or 1 - nil to Sri Lanka (with them winnign the 2nd test) if the umpiring had been on song.
3. That said, congratulations on squaring the series. I for one love the Sri Lankans but HATE WITH A VENGENCE A.R. who happily is facing serious charges of GBH at present...

That said, I hate that appealing every time it hits the pad bollocks the SL's get up too - its very, very unattractive - almost as bad as Slater's little effort recentlt.

At the end of the day, I still think we're going to completely mutha***** you in the Ashes - not saying the contests won't be of a really high standard - they will - I just think you are likely to lose at least 3-1 with each test probably going minimum 4 days...

We shall see...
