How bad is Clarke's injury? Not too serious I hope. I'm kinda glad Marsh is getting a chance - time to prove himself if he wants to remain on our list for another year.

What's the deal with Stenglein? I can't even remember what his injury was. Good to see Burton back.

Hmmm... three sprains, hopefully none too serious.

I was hoping Ladhams would get a recall. Smith and Shirley are an interesting pair of emergencies, just shows how bad our injuries are at the moment. :(

We are in strife. No Clarke means that Ben Marsh will get a fair bit of game time:( . Where the hell is Stenglein?????? Has he been named for Port Magpies?????? He trained which would suggest that he is OK unless he pulled up sore.

Who the hell will get Crawford??????:(

We don't really have a forward line crumber so we'll have to play midfielders through the forward line.

Last week Crawford's opponent racked up 40 touches, so I'd say put whoever you want on him.

Marsh????? This is seriously bad bad news. Clarke has been in awesome form. I am not impressed. Lets hope that Biglands has a big game. At least we might have a chance for half of each of the quaters if they keep rotating. I'm being mean and I hope Ben can prove us all wrong...he needs every opportunity he can get.

And as for Stenglein?? Didn't I hear that he trained well on Wednesday night? I thought he would be a certainty to return. He can't be 100% seeing as though he isn't even an Emergency.

So who's going to play on Crawford now?? I'm having nightmares already....I bet Mattner will get a go! (geez I hope i'm wrong!) Gazza seems to love giving Marty the 'big' jobs. Hmmm.

On a good note the king and the birdman are back. Good stuff!!
I hope that Perrie can keep up his good form with our gun forwards coming back into the side. I admire the way he has worked at improving his game and hope he keeps playing well so he maintains his spot.

Good luck Crows. Fire up!!

Better than breaks. At least all our injuries now are short-term & not too serious (with the exception of Crowell).

We don't really have a forward line crumber so we'll have to play midfielders through the forward line. I expect that Biglands will ruck 80% of the time (**** I hope so anyway), so shouldn't be a problem as long as he doesn't get collected like last week ... otherwise we will be in strife.

I expect the Crows are going to go all out attack. We have plenty of midfielders still to rotate through the forward line, otherwise they won't all fit in the starting-18. As Roo won't be 100%, I'm sure he'll spend time up forward, as will Edwards & Macca, who are both good crumbers.

This line has a much better look about it!!! We now have targets to aim at, so we should be much more confident going into our forward line this week.

Clarke will be missed.
Is there anybody out there apart from me, who thinks come Saturday night we will be singing the praises of Ben Marsh:confused:

Lets face it, he wont get a better chance to strut his stuff.
That will be drummed into him by Rehny...not to mention others.
Go Big Ben.

Carey can just park himself at FF & provide a target. Also, why will we need Smart in defence? It's not like the Hawks have a gun forward line.

Holland can't even mark over his shoulders, Dixon is over-rated (when has he done any damage against us) & Kenny or Hound can hold Rawlings. Our forward line is far more potent!

I tought Holland played a good game against Saints and Dixon has been Hawks best forward this year. I think Rawlings will play forward. Hay will get Carey, Smith will get Burton and Graham will get Perrie:D

McGregor will get Holland, Smart will get Rawlings and Bassett will get Dixon OR Smart and Bassett will swap roles.;)

As I said before, when players are coming back from a long layoff with injury, they usually have a good 1st game and then they are right off the boil in the second game. We have a lot more to gain if we start Welsh on the bench and get him on midway through the 1st quarter. If you srat Welshy on the bench he will be a lot more motivated when he comes on.;) I might be wrong but I think there is something about players playing their 2nd game after long injury layoff.:(

The weather forecast is not good & i'm a little worried concerning our lack of crumbers in the forward 50 & i thought maybe Ladhams might have received a call up,

So "our" Ben has made it back, he better make the most of it as i don't think he'll get to many more chances again this year if he bombs out this time,

Matty Clarke probably could do with the 2 weeks off so i don't see this as any major upheaval & the break will do his body the world of good for the rest of the year,

They wouldn't give the tagging job on Crawford to Mattner would they ??
i think with no Stenglein in the side & no Shirley that we will back our mid-field to go head to head with the Hawks.

Not "our Ben" noddy. You mean "your Ben". :D

I tremble every time that Marsh is in our team and it certainly isn't with anticipation.

I'm happy to eat a fair old hunk of humble pie if I see a flying pig - oops, I mean if Marsh plays well!!! :D

I agree with the point you made about Ladhams though noddy. The full forward line as named is totally underdone with no small crumber if it's rough wet and windy weather.

Nope. Unless he does a Stafford and knocks out Everitt.

There are bad signs everywhere I reckon regarding this match....no Clarke (never thought I'd say that), no Stinger, Marsh getting a game, underdone, tallish forward line with a predicted wet game coming up :(

I'd take ANY type of win at the moment.

This could be the chance Marsh needs, hopefully he takes it

He has been doing really well in the RUCK at Westies, not playing up forward

I'd say that right now, Clarke is more important to today's side than Rehn was to his teams.

Our midfielders have been feeding off Clarkey like hungry chics in a windswept nest recently, and if not for his sheer dominance in the middle we would've been defeated by Geelong and the Bullies in the past fortnight who are clearly the worst two sides going around at the minute.

Troubling.

No!!

Altough all Ben can do is pleasantly surprise everyone because no-one expects anythin from him.

Clarke is our biggest advantage. This reall brings us back to the pack.

Seriously guys who gets Crawford?????? I don't think Torney has the aerobic capacity to go with Hank Bulger. Goody started off being a tagger. How about playing Goody head to head with Crawford??????

I reckon Gary will do what he likes doing ... run our midfield head to head against theirs. Make it a shootout.
